Why did you apply to this trust and how did you find the process? 

I had a show at the cockpit theatre and was worried about how I was going to pay for

expenses such as food and travel while I was there, especially as it was in London,

I knew it was going to cost a good amount. I was worried about how I was going to

be able to pay for it until my tutor mentioned I could apply for the KT grant and it

would help me out financially. It was a fairly simple process, I just had to tell them

what I needed the money for and how it would help me. The people I contacted

were very helpful, they laid out each step. I made a mistake at one point and they

were very helpful and patient in helping me correct it.

 

How did you use the award, and, if this is different from the request on your application, why did you make the change? 

I used to money for food and travel, which is what I requested it for in my original application.

 

Were you allocated a mentor and if so how have they been able to support your journey? 

I was not allocated a member, however as I mentioned, the people I was emailing during my application were very helpful.

 

What difference has this award made? 

It helped me really enjoy my show process, without having to worry about how I was going to fund it. Due to this, I could really focus on giving my best to the show but again, also really enjoy the process of it, as before I was just stressing about how I was going to ration money for travel, lunches and dinner.
